Your phone travels everywhere with you and can carry germs from anywhere it is put and everywhere you have touched.
Be sure to wipe your phone and case, computer keyboards and mice with alcohol regularly.
Your best practice would be to wipe down your phone and wash its case periodically. Try soap and water on the case, and 70% rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer on the screen. Note that leather cases can be damaged by alcohol or water. The ultraviolet light in sunlight can disinfect anything it shines on.
